A brief biography.
Tina Tyler is a veteran TV Host, News Anchor/Reporter, syndicated radio host, writer, and executive producer. Currently, Tyler is the host of “Tina On Tech”, the first African American female produced and distributed technology program. Most recently, Tina Tyler hosted three radio programs with domestic and international distribution “Late Night with Tina Tyler”, “Health Minute”, and “Tech Tuesday with Tina Tyler”. Tyler was also the health reporter for 7 News (ABC affiliate). Her other credits include reporter/producer for Fox 11 LA, Fox Sports, PBS, and EXTRA! She also served as the “face” of MSN Entertainment where she covered the GRAMMYS, Academy Awards, Cannes Film Festival, and other global entertainment events.
Tyler is also the owner of TINA ON TECH STUDIOS. TINA ON TECH STUDIOS produces the Tina On Tech radio show, Tina On Tech TV show (debuts Spring 2018), “Tina On Tech For Softonic” podcast, “Softonic Speaks To…” written feature segments, and other unique content. In addition, Tyler is also Editor-in-Chief of the popular website www.tinaontech.com where she writes articles about technology and digital culture. Since it’s launch in November of 2017, the website has enjoyed more than 80,000 users.
A leader in her field, Tyler served as a judge for the Robert F. Kennedy Excellence in Journalism Awards and was elected to the California Senate Task Force on Autism & Related Disorders. Tyler currently serves on the advisory board for Ladybug House, a palliative care facility for children with terminal illnesses. Tina Tyler is also a member of the Society of Professional Journalists and the National Association of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS). She was recently nominated for a Women In Technology Award.
Tina Tyler is pursuing a Master of Science in Project Management. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from the University of Washington and holds an Emergency Technician-B certification, with clinical rotations at the University of California, Irvine, Medical Center.
A woman of boundless energy, Tyler continues to raise awareness for her son and others with Autism Spectrum Disorder and supports S.T.E.M and diversity in technology.
Tyler splits time between California and the Southwest. She is the mother of three children and a dog named Ripley!
